HOW TO MARKET SPONSORSHIPS

  • We set the value proposition of these sponsorship packages very high by including the tickets so that it largely eliminates question of advertising value on the front-end and can’t help but make those who participate happy with the outcome on the back-end.
  • Start with a trade-out for media (preferably radio) and printing (for event flyers, notes page, and order forms). That way, you’re able to tell your prospective sponsors that “XYZ Radio” is already on board as a sponsor. Then identify your potential Gold Sponsors.
  • Keep in mind that you aren’t selling them a sponsorship. You have specifically selected them to offer them a rare opportunity. IF they don’t say yes on the spot, give them a tight deadline that you have to know within (3-4 days max) before you will offer this opportunity to someone else.
  • The way the sponsorship package is priced, the tickets are total gravy on the deal and offer them the security of being able to simply resell them if they want to recoup their investment and get, in essence, a free sponsorship.
  • Once again, you aren’t selling an advertising package or event tickets, you are giving them an opportunity to increase their stature during a time when others may be appearing to do less. We have made this an overwhelming value proposition because we believe and operate using the First Law of Stratospheric Success in The Go-Giver … Your true worth is determined by how much more you give in value than you receive in payment.
  • For in person meetings, ALWAYS have Adversaries into Allies and The Go-Giver with you when possible — to show what other top notch people say about Bob. When over the phone, ALWAYS send the prospect to our websites (http://www.Burg.com and www.TheGoGiverWay.com) and even have them do a google search on Bob Burg.

SPONSORSHIP BENEFITS

The features of the sponsorship package are on the sponsor flyer — this is the actual “what they get” stuff, but the BENEFITS are:

  • a very rare opportunity (unprecedented at this price) to be seen as a sponsor of an event with a National Bestselling Author — on both the Wall Street Journal and Business Week Bestseller Lists
  • increase their exposure and enhance their reputation within their communities (in order to get 200-300 people at the event, we will be exposing this to 10 – 100 times as many people (higher exposure for premier since they get press release mention)
  • project an image that they are active and “on the move” (new initiatives always create energy and excitement)
  • gain the status of a leading company with the audience at the actual event
  • generate prospects (in some cases sales) at the actual event
  • generate $$ or goodwill with the tickets (sell them, give them to employees, give them to prospects/customers, use them as incentives for new business, repeat business, membership renewals, etc…)
